Hi Everyone,

Just when I was about to log off VJ, I got the following "hot off the electronic press news" via e-mail:

:dance: At last, after 9 months+, my I-751 journey is finally over with my 10yr card soon in hand!!! :dance:

Now all I have to do is wait for the USCIS in the mail for the actual card, which I'm guessing will take about 5-7 days or so....

At last, I can breathe a sigh of relief, go travelling, and focus on the rest of the pregnancy instead!

Funny, how it takes 9+ months for a card, and 9 months for a baby..... :rofl:

Onwards to citizenship for me in August 2009 or later!

2009 (10 Months I-751 Wait) "Removed": 10-Years 5-Months Green Card.

2009 ( 9 Months Baby Wait) "Expected": Baby. It's a Boy, Baby A !!! We Are Family, Ant+D+BabyA !

2009 ( 4 Months) "Moved": New House Constructed and Moved Into.

2009 ( 2 Months N-400 Wait) "Naturalized": US Citizenship, Certificate of Naturalization. Goodbye USCIS!!!!

***Ant is a Naturalized American Citizen!!***: November 23, 2009 (Private Oath Ceremony: USCIS Office, Buffalo, NY, USA)

2009 (<1 Month) "Secured": US Citizen SSN Card.

2009 (<1 Month) "Enhanced": US Citizen NYS 8-Years Enhanced Driver's License. (in lieu of a US Passport)

2010 ( 1 Month) "Voted": US Citizen NYS Voter's Registration Card.

10/06/08: Sent I-751

10/21/08: Received NOA

11/13/08: Received Biometrics Letter

11/24/08: Biometrics done in Jacksonville, FL

03/20/09: Case Transferred from VSC to CSC

05/20/09: Received Approval Letter

...Waiting for the card...

07/09/09: Green Card Received

10/01/09: Eligible for Citizenship

8/03/10: Sent N-400 paperwork

9/08/10: Biometrics done

9/26/10: Received Interview letter

10/28/10: Passed interview

Waiting for the Oath ceremony letter =)

5-25-2010 - Delivered to Vermont Service Center & Signed For

6-1-2010 - I-751 Receipt Notice Received in Mail (dated 5/26/10)

7-30-2010 - Biometrics date: August 13, 2010

8-13-2010 - Biometrics Finished

*time passed

8-30-2010 - email received 'card production ordered'

8-31-2010 - touch (updated on uscis as approved)

9-4-2010 - Received 10yr Green Card ** Now we relax **

Congrats !!! antanD!! That's wonderful !!

I was appoved in early April but still not even an email. Would you advised me to call them up?

I truly think that it works to pressure them !!!

Congrats and Happy journey to .....baby !!! and citizenship !!

Approved April 6th but no card in sight !!!

6/2/2010 - Priority date

6/9/2010 - Check cashed

6/11/2010 - NOA in my mail box

6/17/2010 - Able to see case status "Initial Review"

6/18/2010 - LUD

7/2/2010 - Called mis-information line to put in a service request for STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED "FP NOTICE"

7/8/2010 - LUD, at 2:32am, received text msg and e-mail for req. for add'l evidence being mailed out on July 6th, believe it's for the FP

7/12/2010 - Received FP notice in mail, scheduled for 8/2/2010

7/15/2010 - Walk in FP

7/22/2010 - Online status changed to "Case sent to local office for interview schedule"

7/27/2010 - Received interview letter for 8/23/2010

8/23/2010 - Passed interview, was informed that next oath date is 9/22/2010 and oath letter will come in the mail

9/3/2010 - Received oath letter in the mail for 9/22/2010

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for your congratulations and well-wishes here...:)

To all of you still waiting: "Don't give up and be persistent!". :thumbs:

And by all means, especially if you are "outside of the standard processing times", I definitely encourage you to contact your local congressperson/senator/ombudsman for additional expedite help and to call the mis-information line for inquiries. After all, you deserve to get your 10yr GC asap and for overall better customer service, right?

Lol....Now the next step for me is to "stalk the mailperson and mailbox" again, as I wait for the 10yr card in the mail, which will hopefully arrive in the next week or so... :blink:

I'll keep you all updated here on VJ as to when I get the actual card and finally be able to "complete the final chapter in my I-751 story" soon...

After that, it's "Onwards to Baby!" and "Onwards to Citizenship!" (and so begins the next stories...)

P.S. By the way, the "estimated timeline equation" for me so far is...

August 2008 - May 2009: 280 days/ 40 weeks/ 9 months = 10yr GC (note: assuming that I will get my card on May 25th)

November 2008 - July 2009: 280 days/ 40 weeks/ 9 months = Baby (note: assuming that the baby will be born on July 25th)

Humour me....Which one will finally arrive faster and first?....:jest:
