RFE , AOS on hold

I applied for AOS , EAD and AP at the beggining of April and have biometrics done( May 1st). My case wasn't visible on the USCIS untill last night. I tried it last night and it says that they sent REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE to me and my case will be on hold. I will have it in mail box probably tomorrow or Friday, but I hope somebody can help me to have an idea what it can be. Can anyone help me to explain what it could be about.

I'm planing to travel to see my family in september and instead AP, I got RFE. I,m so upset. Help, please! Thanks!

      • 04/02/2009 AOS,EAD and AP sent
      • 04/08/2009 NOA1 for AOS, EAD and AP
      • 05/01/2009 Biometrics done
      • 05/18/2009 RFE
      • 06/05/2009 Case resumed and transfered to NBC
      • 06/18/2009 EAD card ordered
      • 06/22/2009 AP approved
      • 06/26/2009 AP received in mail
      • 06/27/2009 EAD received in mail
      • 07/01/2009 Case transfered to CSC
        *08/12/2009 Card production ordered
        *08/12/2009 Welcome notice sent

There's no way to know in advance. Could be anything from signing something in the wrong place, to them having lost something you mailed in, to you forgetting something. You'll just have to wait until you get the paperwork.
