Hello,

I have been a student for the last few tax seasons and do not meet the 125% of the poverty line of income. I was told by a USCIS rep that my mother is eligible to sponsor my fiance. Can anyone tell me what additional paper I have to submit with the I-134 document?

You still will be a sponsor, although with no income. For your mother to co-sponsor she will need to fill out a separate I-134.

Each I-134 must be submitted with any/all supporting documents (such as tax return/transcript(s), w-2's etc.). You, the USC Spouse/Fiancé, will always be the Sponsor (regardless of income) so you'll submit the I-134 and any/all supporting documents. If the USC spouse/fiancé does not meet the minimum income requirements, he/she should obtain a co-sponsor (your mother for example) - she will complete an I-134 (with any/all supporting documents). In the case of a K-1, both affidavits of support will be presented at the interview.

Moving to the consulate forum

US Embassy and Consulate Discussion

You are almost there and now you have to deal with the embassy. This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.

YMMV
