Green Card without interview?

Hi,

My wife recieved her temp. green card without been asked to the interview.

We don't understand the reason behind this, does anyone have similar experience?

We basically follow the same process as everyone else; we got married after she arrived;

send in papers for AOS and wait. The only differences are we send in the AOS papers late, after

the initial 90 days and also one form was missing; so the process got drag on for over a year.

We are happy and suprise/worry at this, we know there is going to be another interview for

the permanent green card. Is this mean they skip the first AOS interview and just have one interview at the end?

Over at another site, CFL, we have been tracking those getting the GC without an interview.. Our small subset of applicants, USCs with chinese SOs, is up to 12 approved this way--GC w/o IV ).

For everyone: The only thing we see so far is that if your processing update reflects a transfer to CSC (for the AOS application), this appears to be an indication that you'll get the GC w/o IV. There is not rhyme or reason we can tell so far.. even people who got an RFE for their AOS petition also are getting the GC w/o IV.

well now....that would be the only time i would HOPE for our case to be transferred to CSC

Congratulations. No, it's not a mistake... it's a common occurrence now. You can relax and enjoy the knowledge that you're done for 18 months (at least)!
