Does anyone know how Ciudad Juarez schedules their interview appointments? Are the interviews conducted on a daily basis or do they schedule them on certain days? Also is there a certain time of the month when they mail out the interview packets? Thanks everyone :)

I don't know but I would really like to. I hope that someone has some experience and can lend it to the forums. I did the K1 with my wife and there was NO appointment. We just went, paid the fees at the specified bank and next day did the medical and next day did the interview to get the visa. It would be nice if the K3 or CR1 were the same but I hear that they issue your interview date 9 to 11 months after the point they recieve your application/package.

That is a bit of a heart breaker.

Unfortunately yes there is a long wait for an interview to be scheduled in Ciudad Juarez. Its not like the K-1 where no appointment is necessary.

Well, I have been looking at other peoples timelines and the interviews average between 7-9 months. We are heading on 6 months but I was just curious how the embassy schedules the CR 1 if its done daily or do they do those interviews on certain days. Well we would have gone about this is a little different but my husband was here illegally so our lawyer recommended going the CR 1 route but we still have to submit the waiver application because he will be denied his first visit. :(

Thanks Aussie...I have checked out their website and have wrote to them a couple times but they always seem to give you the same answer. Your application is awaiting an interview date which will approximately be 9-11 months from Jan 2006. :(

hmmm... I am a bit confused about the interview date. You haven't reveived your date yet but once you receive it then it will be 7-9 months until the actual interview date? Or it is just taking them 7-9 months to issue the interview wich could happen the following week?

Regards,

-Troy

I was told by the embassy that it would take anywhere from 6-11 months to receive the actual interview date and because my husband was here illegally its going to take another 3-5 months after we file the 601 Waiver and then he has to go back for a second interview.
