I honestly don't think that was intentional at all. The first are offensive stereotypes and the second are statements that some people fit into those stereotypes. Methinks this is a mountain out of a molehill.

The most interesting thing perhaps is that Amera has a job, a kid and is pregnant, and probably doesn't spend 24/7 on VJ waiting breathlessly to respond to posts.

I think what she meant was that she does not agree with statements such as (I'm paraphrasing) that "all Americans are ignorant and fat, " but she does admit that some of the people fit the stereotype, because some Americans ARE ignorant and fat.

When you asked her which of those statements fit, she was responding with examples that there are people who fit each stereotype, not that there is one statement that she agrees is correct.

Well everyone else explained it before I could get back. I thought that I was making perfect sense. The first post I was making common generalizations that people have - you then asked me to say which ones. So I then tried to clarify it by saying SOME people fit the stereotypes and SOME people don't. I wasn't saying some of the statements fit and some of the statements do not. Perhaps I should have added the word "Some people fit these and some people do not." I apologize for my grammatical lapse, but hope the point was recieved. But I think I should have left it alone as it will most likely become a moot point.
