I was correcting my CR status to IR through I-90. My I-90 case is still pending online although I got a snail mail saying my application got approved. I really do not mind waiting for another two weeks, I just hope all is ok and that this time they will not mix up gender or put a wrong picture.

If by 30 days you still haven't get the GC in hand, feel free to call the mis-information line and ask politely to speak with a higher up. Good Luck!

Hi all , here is what happened to me re this green card delay thread. My case was approved on April 7th 09 , i am transferee from VSC TO CSC, i received my approval letter on April 12 and have been waiting for the physical card since then. Last night , after 40+ days in waiting , with no email or changes online , i decided to call USCIS. I did it this morning and spoke with a representative who was a little unfriendly at first. He asked me a series of questions including essentially my name address, tel # case # and A#. I informed him that my case was approved in early April and that i still have not received the card. He then stated that since I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR MORE THAN 30 DAYS , he is going to send an inquiry to verify what's going on. He then asked me if i wanted a confirmation # for his inquiry and i accepted it and wrote it down. He added that it may take up to 45 days to received a feedback on this inquiry. 45 days ? i asked myself and of course , i was discouraged by that...

Any how, today right after i got home from work, i checked my emails and found my old friend CRIS waiting with the following personalized email :

Dear xxxxxxx

On 05/21/2009 you, or the designated representative shown below, contacted us about your case. Some of the key information given to us at that time was the following:

xxxxxxxxx

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the above listed petition. USCIS records indicate that your I-751 petition was approved on April 7, 2009. The Lawful Permanent Resident Card is in production. You should receive the card soon.If you have any further questions, please call the National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283.

Please remember: By law, every person who is not a U.S. citizen and who is over the age of 14 must submit Form AR-11 AND notify this office of their change of address, within 10 days from when they move (persons in "A" or "G" nonimmigrant status are exempt from this requirement). Instructions for filing the Form AR-11, including mailing instructions, are included on the Form.

conclusion: If you have been waiting for you card for more than 30 days counting from decision date. Please call USCIS and tell the rep that your case has already been approved but you have not received your GC. It works, at least now i feel that the MACHINE is running again .. So those reps can be helpful , when their inquiries are sent someone ,in that bureaucracy, listens...

The thing is....my case was transferred to CSC from VSC and my approval letter came from VSC. I'm confused about where the card is generated. I never got an email about card production ordered and my online case status says 'petition received' (duh).

We got our approval the same day you did and my husband got his on this past monday. I know this may not help but I would think if the approvals got mailed the same day it should be around the same time you get your card.

no worries, mine came from vermont too but it had the local office return address and director.

I had changed my address online in December for Removing Conditions. I have prirnted out the conformation that it was changed online for both myself and my sons card.

I also received a letter to my correct address from USCIS stating they had the correct address on file.....what a joke. I really hate calling that miss information line they are so stupid. I called 5 times one day and each person told me something different.

I guess they mailed my sons card on April 28th to our address we lived at A YEAR AGO. ####### is wrong with those people.

They mailed my card on May 6th to our address we lived at A YEAR AGO.

So I go to both post offices here and neither one has received those green cards returned to them. So I am thinking someone at my old address has our cards. I have gone to that house many times and the people that live there cant speak english.

So now I have to wait another 30 days to see if my cards are returned which I dont think they will be. I really think the three people living at my old house has my cards. Its been almost a month since they sent my sons, I am sure it would be back to USCIS by now. Same as for my card it dont take from May 6th to May 21st to return a card back to USCIS when sent to the wrong address.

So now my drivers lisense have expired and they will not renew then till I have my new card. Can this really get any worse.

Hi Kesolove,

Congrats on getting your "should receive the card soon" e-mail recently. I hope you get your card in the mail soon, and yes, do keep us all updated here on VJ as to when you get such.

That's odd though, that your e-mail was an "inquiry" e-mail instead of a direct "card production ordered" e-mail. Nevertheless, on your e-mail it does say that your card will be received soon, and that's all that matters really.

You're welcome about the encouragement to you and to everyone else here on VJ. And yes, as I said before, I do encourage everyone to contact the USCIS and/or congressperson/senator/ombudsman if they are "outside standard processing times", at all stages of the I-751 process if you ever encounter any problems.

Let's get those "green card production machines rolling!", indeed!

Hi ForeverInLove,

Sorry that this bad experience had to happen to you and your son for the 10yr green cards. I hope this gets resolved soon and you both get your 10yr green cards (and you get your driver's license renewed) asap, as you don't deserve to be treated like this

You did the right thing by despite updating them of your address change online which was the proper thing to do. As well, you were trying to "track down" your card by the post office and by going to your former residence, which you shouldn't have had to do. Hmmm...I wonder if someone mistakenly "threw out" the envelope that your card came in.....So in that case, is it possible that your card might be "lost" and you need to get a "replacement" (which my the way you should get a no cost to you)?

Another example of incompentence from the USCIS.....

Don't worry, things will get better for you. Don't give up!

Lol....I swear maybe the USCIS has a thing for Canadians now, see it that there has been an increase of posts here on VJ about Canadians having problems with them...

Ant (Still waiting for Card 9 months, Still waiting for Baby 9 months...)

P.S. By the way, did you also file the I-865 (Sponsor Change of Address) when you moved?

P.P.S. Hmmm...This give me something extra to think about as well, as I'm about to move soon too....

I had changed my address online in December for Removing Conditions. I have prirnted out the conformation that it was changed online for both myself and my sons card.

Hi Debut720,

Yes, I'm a VSC to CSC transfer case. And yes, my inquiry numbers (for the first time I inquired in January 2009 and the recent time I inquired recently in May 2009) did end with the letters "VSC"...

As well, my reciept number for my I-751 case starts with "EAC", so maybe that has something to do with it too...

As for where the actual Green Card is mailed from....who knows (maybe another VJer can answer that now, and I'll tell you later when I actually get the carrd)....Either way I don't care where it comes from....As long as I get it, that's all....

Hope this helps.

Ant (Still waiting for Card 9 months, Still waiting for Baby 9 months)

Dear Keso Love and AntandD,

It looks like you are both VSC-CSC transfers. Did your inquiry confirmation numbers end with VSC when you called the 1-800 number? I am curious about who gets to look at those service inquiries? Thanks!

Guys, the card production delay is only affecting CSC. See my thread in this forum "approved but no green card".

I am pretty sure it affects TSC as well, and not only people who lifted conditions and waiting for a new 10 year GC. Lets hope we still get our GCs within 30 days. I have 12 more days to wait and will definitely notify everybody if I receive something.

Hi LA80,

Hmmm....I thought that the TSC doesn't process I-751s anymore. Did you mean the CSC instead?

I can't believe that it's been 18+ days since you got your "card production ordered" e-mail, and you still haven't received anything yet....

If you don't get your card within 30 days, by all means, contact the USCIS again.

And yes, do keep us updated as to when you receive your card too.

Ant (Still waiting for Card, Still waiting for Baby...)

P.S. Likewise, I feel the same way too, even though it's only a few days since I got that e-mail (but 9 months+ waiting for the card). Hopefully I get the card in the mail soon as well, as "I'm running out of time" here! Lol...at this rate, I swear I'll be "delivering my baby" before "the card is delivered'!

TSC does not process I-751 but it does process I-90 for GC renewal or replacement. I did not have to lift conditions, but I had to correct my status. Still, I am within the time frame and trying not to freak out. You know, a good thing about babies is that they cannot prolong stuff the way USCIS does and there is no need for calling baby misinformation service. Once they decide to arrive, there is no bureaucratic procedure that can stop them.

I wish a speedy card delivery to you and an easy baby delivery. Let's just relax and wait for the last step - a GC in our hands.

Hi LA80,

Ahh...got it....thanks for explaining about that here about the TSC. Sorry that you had problems with your green card and that you had to waste extra time to have such corrected. It's good though, that you didn't have to pay extra to get that fixed, especially more so that it is their fault for the mistake, and not yours. By the way, what was the misake on your card anyways?

Hope you get your card soon too, and again, if they keep on delaying your card, by all means, inquire further with the USCIS.

Lol...I agree, babies cannot prolong stuff the way the USCIS does. They come out in 9 months (give or take a few weeks), and that's basically it in terms of "delivery" (with the pain of labour of course, but that's not too hard to handle). ROFL about the "baby misinformation service".... , no need for such really. And even when one does run into problems with babies, children, parenting issues, etc., there is much more support and more reliable help for such in the community. Lol...If the USCIS handled babies...well let's just say that it would be a disaster, indeed!

Last step=relax and wait for the GC...here's hoping for a "speedy delivery" for us and everyone else soon too!
