im not so sure ...but changing will make confusion and actually the time window since she make it to the states till she get the card is already narrow enough to allow such a change ..so if in ur place ..keep it till u get it on the old address BUT i believe as long as she is CR-1 (i dnt know if she is as i didnt look to the timelines) so its better to change address with USCIS for future communications ( thats a must after u get ur green card )

Good Luck

Yes, you should be able to change the address at POE with the customs & immigration officer. I had printed out an AR-11 form ready to give to him but he simply gave me a piece of scrap paper to write my address on and paperclipped it to the rest of my stuff. My address got changed as they entered my stuff into the system and my welcome letters, green card & social security card all arrived at my new address

This is what happened to me-- With my DS-230 I gave my FIL's address who lives in Georgia, me and husband live in Indiana. We were planning to change our apartment asap, but we couldn't change our apartment for 1 month because the new apartment needed my SSN and I didn't get any SSN for a while. To cut the story short, I got my GC at our Indiana address, even though I never requested for an address change and thank goodness I didn't get SSN prior to getting my GC or else we would have left that apartment and that GC would have been lost.

Keep AR-11 handy and talk to the POE officer. Or, let her husband call USCIS and see what all can be done.
