To help other applicants based in Denver, we made an infopass appointment in Denver to apply for an interim EAD since we hadn't heard anything since our NOA1, it was day 93 since our 'receive date'. There weren't any surprises and it was a relatively linear process.

Arrived, went through security

Stood in infopass appointment line (there's two lines, one for people without infopass appointments and another for people with infopass appointments)

Talked to the first officer who handed us a ticket. (Polite - no problems :) )

Waited 15 minutes or so

Our ticket number showed up on the screen

We spoke to a different officer (Also polite and no problems ) - showed her NOA1's for EAD and I-485. She told us to take a seat and we would be called. This is the only part that was slightly , since it seems they nor we had a clue how long it would take to be called...

1 hour 45 minutes later we were called into the back of the office through a different door with 4 other applicants

A very polite (actually, make that very very polite) lady took our photographs, signatures and fingerprints. She made the EAD cards infront of us, handed them back and walked us out. Perfect.

Overall, it was your typical government high volume office (similar to a DMV for e.g.), so no surprises with waiting times, kids running around, etc. The job got done and it certainly wasn't a bad experience. Way to go Denver.;):)

Glad to hear about the success. My Inforpass went very quick but the people were a little ignorant. I asked for a photocopy of one of my documents and they basically said they couldn't be ars@d getting up and walking to the photocopier. Another person did so in the end.

I got the standard 90 days, how long did you get?

Cheers

Hi Yorkie,

They seemed to be on the ball, no photocopies or fresh I-765's needed. Just the two NOA's (EAD and 485). The interim EAD is valid for exactly 1 year... hopefully we'll only need it for two more weeks!

Thanks LoveLove :). Yep they are nice, sorry about your wait - those metal chairs are somewhat punishing on the behind  Hey, less than two weeks for your interview!
