I had my 1st shot of Gardisil at the medical on March 24th. Now comes the time for the 2nd shot (May 24th)

Does it really matter or not if you get the 2nd and 3rd shot for AOS?

Thanks!

I've been wondering about this too.

I need to get my 3rd shot this week, so I'm going to have all 3... so I won't know.

But, I don't think this issue was ever sorted out.

Yes people are talking about RFEs but apparently for AOS (coming from K1), we just need to send a copy of the document (list of vaccins) that the Dr. gave us (outside of the sealed envelop) from the medical.

Obviously I don't have the sealed envelop anymore but I do have that list of vaccins but I dont know if a walk-in clinic Dr. would like to write on it to show i got the other shots and if it is even legal...

Technically, you aren't suposed to just send in your vaccination worksheet... you are suposed to have a civil surgeon fill out form I=693 (i think that's right) declaring you have met the vaccination requirements. BUT some people get away with sending in just the worksheet while others have recieved RFE's... It seems that if you are completely up to date with your shots, then sending in the worksheet is acceptable, but if you were missing things at the time of your medical, it will cause you a problem.

My understanding of it is that you need to show you kept up with the cycle of shots. Therefore, if you are due for the second one at the time of AOS, you need to show you have received it. If you should be done the cycle by the time you file for AOS, you need to show you have completed the cycle. I read this somewhere, but I'm not sure if the information is correct... There has been a lot of debate about weather it is required or not. Personally, I'm going to get the last shot and get the I-693 filled out for AOS and not risk the RFE so I can get my GC as quick as possible without any delays. I suppose it depends on how much of a hurry you are in... As far as proving it goes, ask the doctor or person who administers the shot to give you a note, or a receipt... anything that shows you have received the shot. I'm pretty sure writing in you have received it without actually receiving it would be fraud... but you may very well get away with it. Problem is, if anyone calls you out and asks you for evidence, you don't have any and you're in trouble! When I went for my medical they wanted a note from my doctor saying I had received the shot, a check mark in the book wasn't sufficient.

I think I'll get it anyways. I requested an appointment for friday anyways because I dont want to have any delays either.

I thought that I-693A was enough if you come from K1 and your medical is less than one year old? Poor surgeon who has to fill I-693 it looks annoying

I wont file for AOS before september but i'd rather play safe than sorry.

I'll have to get my 3rd shot at the end of september too.

I think I heard somewhere that the I-169A doesn't exist anymore... I'm not 100% sure on that, maybe someone more knowledgeable can step in and let us know. Apparently there is a doctor in Texas that does it by mail for like $30.

You ever read something on a forum and then completely forget where you read it? I do that all the time. Sometime I sit here for hours just reading random threads to "learn" and then I forget where I found them...

I do remember finding some good info here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101202

I went and bought my third shot tonight. They didn't have any pre-filled syringes left, just vials of it... so that's exciting. Not.

Going to go tomorrow morning for my last and final shot. I can't believe it's already been 6 months!

My Dr. gave me a prescription back in November for 3 vials and then Shoppers Drug Mart just kept it file and I just went and picked it up as I needed it.

I went for my last shot this morning. It hurt more that the other 2 for some reason, LOL.

Oh god, don't tell me that, those shots hurt like a mofo! The second one hurt more than the first... so I guess the third one hurting more than the first two makes sense! I found a walk in clinic in Denver that will do it for $150... I did my first two for $180 each, so that's not too bad. Unfortunately I'm not due for my last shot until early August so I can't get it done in Canada before I go... 2 months early is a little much.
