RFE?

I sent my cashiers check with "Department of Homeland Security" and everything was fine.

Okay, so I mailed the I129-F yesterday. I checked and double checked and TRIPLE checked all the paperwork...

I was standing in line thinking "do I have everything" when I realized I did not include the check

So I got out of line and wrote out the check payable to "Department of Homeland Security"

When I got back to the office and looked at the instructions it says to make it out to "US Department of Homeland Security"

Do you guys think they will RFE me for not including the "US"

You would not get an RFE for this. If it doesn't meet their requirements for fee payment they will send the whole thing back to you, via slow boat from China, and you would enclose a new check and send it back. My guess is they will deposit that check and say "close enough for government work"

I think you will be find, I just read something that said they were not rejecting checks that did not have US on them starting May 19, 2009...

Oh yeah? I thought i was going to get a rfe, cause i filled the check out to uscis.lol, i was thinking i am sure to get it rejected.BUT four days later, i got my noa1 notice in email.And the hard copy 9 days later.

I wouldnt try what i did, fill it out right.
