Fiance got his Visa!

Hi All!

I'm thrilled because my fiance just got his Visa in his passport!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited to finally be able to plan our lives.

I have one question. I live in Los Angeles but I will be in NYC next week and I thought it might be easier (since there are direct flights from Casablanca to JFK) to have him meet me there. Is there any problem with Immigration with him flying into another state? We would stay in NY for a few days and then fly back to Los Angeles together.

Anyone know the answer?? I don't want him to have any problems when he gets to JFK since I live in Los Angeles. Of course, I would be at JFK to pick him up.

Congrats in obtainign the visa!. Yes it even better to come thru JFK cuase he gets the temporary EAD stamp, and don't wait to long to take him to get a SS number. Wait only a week and take him to your local SS office!. It is very important so he gets a job soon!.

04/18/09 - My Cuchi came, (NYC)a wonderful unbelievable moment!:)

04/20/09 - We applied for marriage licence. (Township Municipal Bldg Health Dept.)

04/23/09 - Licence on hand

04/29/09 - Applied for Social Security (He was in system!)

04/30/09 - Wedding day!!! Yeeebaa

05/07/09 - SS card in mail. "valid for work only with DHS authorization"

05/13/09 - Sent AOS paperwork.

06/16/09 - Biometrics Apptmt.

06/25/09 - EAD Card in mail!

06/26/09 - Letter saying case transfered to Cali.

08/08/09 - Residence Card in Mail! Yuuupiiiiiii.

THE END FOR 2 MORE YEARS.

I don´t need patience if I have love. Ah I que Viva mi Guayaquil Carajo!

well, the EAD Stamp will expire too soon, i doubt anybody would hire for 90 days or less...

you can expect 2-3 months without a job, so after he gets here, you should marry ASAP and file AOS, along with EAD and AP..

I am speaking from experience, my husband is working and I sent the AOS papers so hopefully the EAD will arrive before he has to quit. I am crossing my fingers. Even if its for 2 months that's an income that is helping us a lot!.
