So where is everyone from?

Originally born in Montreal, then moved to Canada ( Ontario) to get away from politics. After 10 years there dumped my ex, met my fiance, and am back in Montreal at my family's waiting for my Visa.

Why even reply?

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Born in Amherst, Nova Scotia and moved shortly after to various places around Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia as my dad worked for Atomic Energy of Canada, we eventually stayed in Port Hawkesbury, right next to the causeway to the mainland of Nova Scotia till I was 17 and graduated. Then I moved to Halifax, NS for a year, then to Amherst, NS for about 12 years then to where I am now in a very small community called Tremont (just outside of Greenwood-which has the Canadian Airforce Base in it). Still in beautiful Nova Scotia. Hey the snowbirds are going to be here on Wednesday to do an airshow for Greenwood's anniversary.

My wife was born in Edmonton, AB and remained there for most of her life. She moved to Ottawa, ON for a few years, but hated it there.

She lived in England for a short period of time while doing her Masters degree. My wife had already returned to Edmonton when she and I first got together.

Born in Lachine, Quebec (now part of Montreal), lived in Pierrefonds (West Montreal Island) until 12; moved to Kingston, Ontario (Dad still lives there); went to Queens, then Algonquin College in Ottawa, then moved to St. Catharines, Ontario in 1982 and to Chatham, Ontario in 1988. Moved here from Chatham in 2004.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
