I filled for I 130 and I 485 in sept (received date sept 2008 and Notice date sept 17 2008 ) got my EAD,AP dec 2008 and had my interview feb 2009.No answer from any of them. My I 130 is at NBC and I485 is at St.Louis (MO) local office. MY I 130 receipt has this mention " priority date : P " no i don't think is the same thing as the emoticon :P or at least i hope not , would be a pretty cruel joke lol ,but couldn't find any hints anywhere about the meaning of it. St.Louis local office time process frame is Sept 19 and my case was filled Sep 17 .My case has no updates since jan 30 2009 for I485 and for I 130 since oct 2 2008 . I called the 1-800 provided number and every time i called got completely different answers. They left me in the same dark i was before i called them with ,of course somewhat less sanity .Couldn't figured out how they process the case(like i said i got totally different answers every time i called ) Does I 130 needs to be approved first and then they would start working on my I 485 ?? I must mention again i filled I 130 and I485 in the same time and i also must mention i was in the states when i filled everything after 2.5 years of marriage and my wife is an USC.

Anyway is my I 130 delayed because i need a visa number first and it might not be available now ?do i even need to wait for a visa number(thought they were assigned immediately) is I 130 related to that priority date P ??? What does even mean priority date P ?I looked at NBC processing time for I 130 and i couldn't find any information of any kind about I 130. So pls if somebody have any info pls share . Is anything i could do to speed up the process or at least to make them be aware of this delay ???Thank u

I filed my AOS in St. Louis, MO last week of March 2009, CASE TRANSFER IN cALIFONIA aPRIL 19, biometric April 22 and recieved a Welcome notice or approval of green card and work permit in my mailbox May 18, 2009. Try to call back the customer service every now and then until they will give you an info about your AOS. A friend mine who is an immigration lawyer said the longest waiting time for AOS is 6 month.

We had the interview in Chicago. We have not received anything in writing or a definite response from the officer on the spot (like other do receive on the spot approval with a stamp in the passport, or at least something like "you are approved and in 2 weeks you will get the card in the mail"). He did say that the file looks pretty solid, or pretty good, and he said this 3-4 times. At the end he told us that we will get something in the mail in about 90 days. The card was ordered 3 days later.

Maybe you should schedule the infopass to check for updates on your file, say that you are concerned that you did not received a thing in the mail since the interview (like 90 days later now, right?) and that you wonder if maybe something got lost in the mail? Better go than wait for a standard answer from either a call to the customer service or a letter. Cause letters do seem standardized too.
