hi all,

I am confused, please help.

I am US citizen applied my wife i130 and 129F(K3)

Both got approved same time and were forwarded to nvc.

The k3 was so fast that i got interview date from consulate in almost a month

On the other hand 130 is only in its AOS steps. paid the fee bill 3 weeks ago. waiting for 864

I got no hurry, i want her to come on I130 only.

Do i have to cancel or call or inform them that i am not coming for interview as i am waiting on the 130?

I received the interview notice via email only. my wife received nothing at her house regarding k3, just the listof things to bring for interview and the interview appointment date.

How do i infor the consulate?

What if i don't inform and make no show to the k3 appointment.>? will it affect my reputation for 130 interview later.

I would have never applied for this 129F but initially my wife wanted to come as soon as possible, but now after it got approved, she says she wants to write few exams and then come.

Please please please help me.

Any suggestion is greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

Thanks in advance.

Definitely contact them & let them know that you aren't in need of the K3 interview & that you're following the road of the I-130 (IR1/CR1 process)...you're much better off that route. It doesn't take much to call or email the consulate to let them know so they can book someone else's appointment for that time. Good luck to you.

She still has to have her medical done before the interview. I would let her do the medical, continue to do whats needed at the NVC for the CR1, there is a chance that the CR1 will finish up at the NVC before June 4th then the interview will be for the CR1 and the K3 will be dropped. If you cancel the June 4th now and the NVC finishes up with the CR1 before then, you may not get another interview date for a few months. If by June 3rd the CR1 isn't complete yet then she can either call or go in on the 4th and tell them she would like to drop the K3 and wait for the CR1.
