My wife attend interview in Apr in Chennai and got 221g - Need additional documents.

This is my second marriage and wife's first marriage. He question how can she marry a divorcee and wanted detail documentation about my divorce and also asked about the pictures of our marriage and what to know how many people attended our marriage blah blah...

CO wants to see pictures with the guest..We submitted all the documentation & passport 2 week back but no response from them..

What's the waiting time.. should i contact them thru email or wait? Any similar experience ?

I-130

06-04-2008 I-130 sent on Green Card Status

11-10-2008 I-130 upgrade request after becoming citizen

11-20-2008 Touch

12-01-2008 Touch

12-01-2008 i-130 upgraded.

12-30-2008 NOA2 - Approved

I-129F

11-07-2008 I-129F Sent Overnight Mail

11-10-2008 I-129F Received at VSC

11-13-2008 NOA-1 Receipt Notice Date

12-30-2008 NOA-2 Approved.

Is there any chance of rejection in CR1?

Usually there is no upright rejection letter, your wife may be put under AP and that might take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 years to clear up.

The reasons for upright rejections --- drug abuse, criminal charges, falsly claiming to be USC and things like that.

Keep calling Chennai consulate and see what the progress is. Chennai is becoming hard with divorcee and issues outside of social norms. You might want to contact -- Indianheart, I really feel sorry for that lady, her husband is under AP for almost a year now and they too went through Chennai.

Give the consulate what they have asked for. As the USC you should try contacting the consulate to ask for updates. I would also get your Senator and/or Congressman involved.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
