But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

You'd think those on the left who have been so helpful in the recycling of "Pepsi cans" and milk-jugs would also see the value in unwanted children.

Just a thought.

Those who are anti-abortion, are you anti-abortion full stop or are their certain circumstances when an abortion in your eyes is necessary? If so which circumstances?

I think the vast majority of people realize the very large percentage of Abortions are not in the "difficult" cases, they are simply abortions of convenience.

Even those Prolife people who are "Hard core" .. shall we say, would be very much in favor of stopping the bulk of abortions even if more difficult cases continued.

After all when a plane is hi-jacked and the hi-jackers offer to let the women and children off... do we say

"Nope, it's all or none"?

Thanks for your reply Danno...."Abortions of Convenience" not entirely sure what type of circumstance(s) would fall into that category. In my own opinion I believe the Mother should have the right to choose to have an abortion because of 1) Rape 2) Incest 3) Not having the emotional and financial means to raise a child.

I'm not asking you to ask me a question.

And I'm not asking you to answer - I'm telling you. Answer or die.

As I understand it, the 'pro-life' crowd use this idea that women choose abortion as a birth control method as a hook to demand abortion be criminalized. Quite how that works entirely escapes me. As I understand it, abortion, particularly late abortion is neither a safe nor fun procedure for the 'mother' and certainly I would not imagine it being possible to obtain multiple numbers of them without getting sent for a psyche exam.

I still can't see this being normal behaviour though, or something that someone would 'want' to continue to do. If it is being used as a form of birth control, education would surely be the best move forward, to find out who these women are and teach them a better and safer approach to birth control not only for themselves, but for everyone concerned. Having these women become mothers when they can't even take care of themselves adequately seems to me to be a recipe for, well let's just say it does not auger well.

Demanding the criminalisation of abortion serves without providing an alternate viable response to these issues serves no useful purpose beyond giving the pro life advocates self satisfaction. Not a good reason to create a bad law.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

among those you mentioned, only #3 is abortion of convenience, if you don't have the emotional and financial means to raise a child, don't get pregnant. And incest would be abortion of convenience only if both parts weren't consenting (sp?). I'd also add to abortion of convenience aborting children with dawn, or other diseases that the child will not live a ''regular'' life, but they'll live and it would be aborted because it would make the parents's life difficult. Also any other birth control reason, the teenager that got pregnant, etc. Abortion is not birth control. And I'd add to the list of the right to abort medical reasons, like the mother is going to die; the baby will not surive, they'll die at birth.

what may be considered convenient for some, won't be for others.
