I know the other day Adam was saying his usual, "I wish I had a new car" and I got tired of hearing about it. We have my paid for 99 kia and the 2007 chevy aveo. I didnt want to get a 2nd car so soon bcz we were doing pretty good sharing my kia, and bcz he kept insisting constantly thats why we got the 2nd car. So I finally told him... "alot of foreign guys think they can come to America to get the oh so perfect life, with the oh so perfect wife, new cars, awesome paying job, and be bill free and thats not reality at all! they forget their oh so perfect wife has worked very hard to get where she is at in life, probably paid for herself to get to Egypt and back, paid for all her own bills, and is working her butt off to get her debt off and hardly EVER asks for new things half as much as the foreign husband!!!"

He looked at me with eyes wide open and said, "Are you talking about me?" I said yah, you are one of those guys and Im one of those women! Now stop asking me about a new car!!!

Oh that is funny. And that mentality seems very real to me.

I think my husband also made a comment about "you have your house (apt, whatever), you have your car..you have YOUR this and that....and I am like "yeah well I was the one who worked hard for those things!"

right on Tamara...good god....like raising a child, I swear

Happy Monday MENA (F)

I'm so tired...running around all day yesterday and this morning. Now I'm at work, I'm finally relaxing (that's funny!).

We bought some new furniture yesterday at a local furniture store. Yippee...so now I have 2bdrooms done, our formal dining room, family room and kitchen. I feel like a little load has been lifted off of me, however, I had a hard time watching the money leave my hands today.:wacko::whistle: Still need to get the new cribs for the babies rooms and think of themes for them. OMG I can not wait to move already.

How's every doing?

Nawal- We're moving in July to a bigger apt. and I can't wait either!!! Congrats on getting all that done sister and insha Allah everything will turn out great.

Tamara- I understand your frustration....even tho my husband is providing and I don't have to work...I see how hard it is to live here! I looked for jobs a couple of months ago and gave up the idea so fast; it seemed so impossible. Then the insurance ...... wow...never felt so insecure my entire life!! The feeling that "no I can not get sick or else I am dooomed!!" was terrible. Next thing I know we're pregnant  ; yes and no insurance until now...insha Allah in july but you can only imagine how much a single visit to the Dr. costs + lab work + Rx :wacko::wacko:

Ok guys have a good one..

Awwwww haaaaaaaaaaa, I have lived this and I am still living this!!!! Now there is a second trip to save for...does it ever freaking end? Seriously, does it? Because I have a trip I'd like to save for. I think I deserve a month long trip on a beach somewhere with people waiting on me!

Seriously, I can relate to everything you guys are saying.

yeah and just because I sit at my desk all day my job is easy

I mean work is work! No one wants to do it.

We all have to put our time in if want to pay the bills or if we are lucky enough to have some extra for the frills, right?

I mean it isnt going to be handed to us, some get it handed to them

I mean oh my job is easy and his hours are so hard and off

but still he sits and home and does NOTHING in his spare time.

Me, I never sit down.

And it is all about what HE wants to spend his money on

I never spend money on me, I know you women can relate

It's the kids and him

and he is like a kid because he is starting from zero

so he needs this and that

he wants to see this and that, experience this and that

I mean he has to pay his bills and his expensive smoking habit...it doesnt leave much left over

is that my fault??? It is still better than him rotting away in Morocco

literally NO LIFE, NO MONEY, NO JOB, NO INTIMACY and NO CHANCE

oh and this having to send home money to family when we haven't got a pot to piss in

and saving for the trip back home

I am just pissed off
