Good morning everyone.

Seren, I sent you a PM, please read. Let us know if you get that flight changed to the 22nd so we can see you off on your way back home to us! Will you be returning to Canada? Or directly to the US?

So no one told me when they are available online except for Jen. What are you all doing tonight? I'm thinking tonight might work because I cooked dinner really late yesterday (for today's dinner) so it's out of the way.

Candid, what's up with you and hubby? Hope things are going well. Where has he taken you so far? Have you been to NYC? down the shore? Atlantic city?

Jen  I think it's time to just let it go... focus on the more important things. Did they sell your car? What happened with that?

Liza, what's up hon? How's married life? Are the days flying by for you like they are for me? I can't believe 10 days have passed! We finished the EAD yesterday. Hopefully we'll get that squared away soon. I was told by the paralegal that the SS card can be applied for now. No need to wait for the EAD. I need to get my name change done anyway, so I was thinking to make time next week or the week after and just go in person and see what they can do for the both of us.

Steven, Steven, Steven...how's it going? How's work by the way? Hopefully you're getting more sleep now that we're not keeping you up online until midnight

Anyone hear from C? Hope all is moving quickly in CR and that D is here soon! So you can join the reunited spouses club! (You too Steve!)

Waving hello to everyone! I guess I should get to work. Waiting for she- but of course, it's only 8am... another 2 hours before she comes in. She messed up my paycheck (big surprise) and also has not given me any info for making our next schedule  I really hope she takes another job elsewhere! She's getting on my last nerves!

Well I guess I'll catch you guys and gals later. (F)

Hey Cnt,

Sorry, Im not sure when I can get online. I will try tonight.

Ummm...The paralegal is wrong and you will be disappointed if you go and try to apply for a SS card for your hubby. They will NOT issue a SSC without permission to work(EAD card) unless you can prove that you need it for a purpose other than work and getting a state ID or DL DO NOT cut it. We're basically stuck until that EAD card comes, then you can get a SS# and a DL with the SS#.

I'll be mailing off the EAD today... still looking at 2 conflicting addresses (one on the USCIS website(and link from VJ) for direct filing, and one in the instructions). Im going with VSC and if its supposed to go to CSC, they will forward it lol

Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Oh yeah, about the SS I told the paralegal that. She said, "I know, but depending which office you go to, they will give it to you." I have no idea what that meant. Like I said, I have to go to finally do my name change, so while we're there, we'll see if they will allow us to get it. We didn't need a SS# for the driver's license! Maybe we'll have luck with this too!
