So my fiance wants to switch form K-1 Fiance Visa to an immigrant visa due to my occupation. We were supposed to get married with the K-1 visa in August, but since my ships schedule changed, we decided to do a immigrant visa. How do I switch from K-1 visa to an Immigrant Visa? We ware about half way done with the K-1 Visa, but we decided we want to change it to a Immigrant Visa. Thanks for all the help.

What kind of immigrant visa are you referring to? From your timeline it looks as though you are very close to get your visa, I think it would be unwise to switch visas now.

Go and get married, and then file the I130 which is the CR1 immigrant petition. You will need to write a letter to CSC with a copy of your marriage certificate and your new petition informing them that to no predijudice you would like to cancell your old fiance petition. Grant it you will be starting the entire process over. But I understand because your fiance wants to be a military dependant before you leave.

Heck she should be getting her interview date any day now. I just read your time line and it would be insane to stop now.

You can not switch the applications from a K1 to a CR1.

You would have to cancel the K1 and then start all over again with the CR1. You would have to pay the fees all over again and go through the waiting all over again.

You are so close to getting the K1 visa, you should continue with that and as soon as it is approved and you arrive in the US get married at the local court house.

Ship schedule changed? I assume this means you are on board a ship as crew? If that is true, then you are you looking to continue this work after you get married? More info is needed for me (at least) to understand... especially being sooooooooooooooo close.
