hi, I'm not at your stage yet, still at the NVC with the I-864, but we had a similar situation with the date of birth. I actually got an email from NVC after the DS-3032 form was email in, and they wanted us to send a copy of her birth certificate or passport. So I mailed that in to them with a cover letter explaining the screwup and think we're good. Might be usefull to do the same, can't hurt I suppose.

might cause an RFE.. but as explained. just make a cover letter and explain your typographical error.

present a birth certificate showing the right spelling.

good luck! do not worry so much... things will fall into it's rightful places in time.

thanks but his package has already been forwarded to the embassy for the interview. There were a few vowel misspellings here and there, but they make lots of mistakes like that in the old country, like on my marriage certificate my name is nidah but they put nida' like a long a. I hope its not a problem, my husband actually has a really good friend who works inside the embassy everyday! My husband asks him for any questions he might have, and hes been a great help to us. I will try to stay positive. He will have hs birth certificate at the interview, thats all the proof they need.

well

i cant be sure ...consulate has the final word about this ..different letters in names doesnt represent a problem as or paperwork ..but it may cause at security checks ..cz this may match someone else cz of a letter is wrong ..it happens ...

u say the case was forwarded ..so if in ur place i would wait and find out ...too late to ask for fixing i must tell :)

be good its just fine
