Would anyone clarify this for me... my husband and I had an argument a few minutes ago because he told our friend that our interview is coming up and ofcourse that friend was telling him that ohh.. you'll need to know what your favorites are ie favorite food, favorite color, etc... I have not seen any of that while browsing through people's interview experience here in VJ. I know they ask questions pertaining to both of you but those that are on your previous application, K1 applicaiton, biographical data page, how you met, etc but none of those questions I mentioned. Does anyone know if they ask those king of questions??? Our friend of course didnt have the K1 thing nor the I-130 i think it was the CR-1 or something (not quite sure) but I hate it that my hubby doesnt believe in me and he firmly believes on what our friend is telling him.. such a pain in the a*s!!

i would think that the questions would be something that the interviewer would be able to verify....ie information that is provided on the forms submitted. I could be wrong, but the 129F and G325A from what I remember did not ask for my "favorite" anything.

Oh and my favorite color is Blue. I hope the embassy does not see this and ask my fiancee'!

You will get those questions when you apply for AOS after you get married. You aren't really expected to know all of that info before you are living together. Make sure you know each others birthdays though.

They have a right to ask those type of questions and if they have suspicions that your marriage is for immigration benefits instead of for a bona-fide relationship they do ask questions like that. Often, if you have a second interview after a first interview with no decision they will ask questions of that nature. Generally, however, if your documentation supports a bona-fide marriage, you are unlikely to be asked such questions. If you arrived on a K-1 there is also a very good chance that you won't even get an AOS interview. So, technically, you are both right, although it is good to be prepared for some of the 'difficult' questions, just in case. Make sure you know the names and birthdates of each other's parents and siblings and where they live, things like that. Definitely make sure you know each other's birthdates, hehehehe!

they can ask anything they want and may ask those questions. For our interview we were asked exaclty -0- questions reagrding our relationship. Best to prepare for the worst and be pleasantly surprised.

What was done? For my wife she swore an oath and they repeated to her all the questions asked on the I-485, are you a terrorist, etc. but this time "under oath". They then pulled out her G-325a and asked her questions directly off it. "What is your mother's name?" etc. Then they said our green card was approved and what to do for the I-751 in two years. That was all. No questions about "us" and no documents of "evidence" requested.

It is good for him to know your favorite color etc., for when he buys you things, so you two ought to learn that stuff anyway. I also have all my wife's "sizes" on a little note in my wallet so I had that covered too. :)

My wife came in on a K1 and she had an AOS interview. Her case was then put in continued status until a supervisor could review it. The interviewing officer asked me why I proposed to my wife and then asked her why she accepted. Not stuff he could have verified from the paperwork, but he wanted to see our reactions.

If there is some big age difference, or reason to wonder about your relationship, then the interviewer may indeed press for information to prove that you really do know a lot about him.

During our second interview the officer asked me what was my husband's favorite music group, what side of the bed he slept on, and if we ever had an arguement where one of us went to sleep on the couch-and what was the arguement about - we did not remember the reason!
