Hope everyone is doing well, Nagi enjoy your husbands homecoming. I am now working on my internship, I got handed 30 -patients all in late stages of dementia and Alzheimer's. It is hard going from patients that I could at least talk to to patients that are not even verbal. But I am sure it will be a real learning experience, and going from working with welfare patients to patients that have money for anything is another eye opener. I also learned that I have to implant some kind of Marco program, oh yea, not a freaking problem. I am sure my husband's visa will come though right around the time I am having a meltdown, I mean what perfect timing

this is a strange condition, this is what im dealing with my mom plus now she has a broken hip. One day she can make sense then out of the blue something is said that makes no sense

I actually loved working with Alzheimer's patients. They made me feel like I was normal.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I remember those days...torturous days they were.

Brni, normal is what I am the opposite of.

Good Morning MENA! :) I've been MIA for a few days.

I am so excited! I got my tax return (after a month and a half of "Where is it?!") I'm paying all my bills, I bought a new dress, and Tarik and I are going out today to get haircuts, get a cell phone charger (or a new cell phone if they let me upgrade early) and eat out for lunch (for the first time.... ever). I am just too excited about today! :)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Funny story, last week two of my patients claim their glasses were not working for they felt they could not see well. So we all scrambled to see if there was a problem with these patients eyes, finally we call the optometrist and he check them out and the problem was they had each other's glasses. They were not aware that they were wearing their roommates glasses, and of course they were blind, they have different prescriptions. I have one patient that knows the exact time, at any time of the day you can ask him what time it is and this man will tell you the time to the second, but ask what year it is and he is lost.
