10yr. Green Card vs. Citizenship

I'm wondering if after my husband recieves his conditional 2 year green card, will we have to first apply (when the time comes) for his 10 yr. green card and then his naturalization (since they will overlap). Would they throw out his 10 yr. application in lieu of recieving his Naturalization papers?? Or do they process both?

May 11 '09 - Case Approved 10 yr card in the mail

June - 10 yr card recieved

Feb. 19, 2010 - N-400 Application sent to Phoenix Lockbox

April 3, 2010 - Biometrics

May 17,2010 - Citizenship Test - Minneapolis, MN

July 16, 2010- Retest (writing portion)

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony

Journey Complete!

You need to have your PR status for 3 years before you can apply for Naturalization.

So, after you apply for the 10-year GC, you just need to wait until the 3-year mark, and then you can apply for Naturalization, even if you haven't received the 10-year GC yet.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

They process both. The application for citizenship cannot be processed until the application for removal of conditions has been approved. If the application for removal has not been approved by the time they're ready to process the application for citizenship the files will be combined and processed together.

An LPR is an LPR, conditional or not.
