I'm confused are you the benficiary or the petitioner? If they were denying you than they would say you are denied, there instead asking you for documents. The fact that there asking you for those documents is a good thing, they wouldn't ask for documents if it was there intention to deny you.

As the beneficiary I would not be concerned about this at all.

I have no idea how long it will take after you submit the documents. My personal guess is not long, once the consulate receives the required documents you should be able to call them and inquire, if they are satisfied I suspect you will receive your visa shortly after that.

Good luck!

Well, since they asked for these documents, you must provide them :) Then take it from there :)

I haven't read of similar experiences, but u might want to ask in the IMBRA section of this forum, as it is more focused on such issues :) (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=126)

Best of luck!!

Once you produce a noterized statement saying that you are aware of your fiance criminal history, you will never be able to try to say that you entered this without having the knowledge of his past as a way of trying to end the marriage and still get your green card/citizenship. It is a good sign that they asked for these things, so once you get them to the consulant I would have to agree with the others it shouldn't be long.

Normally takes at least a month for USEM to issue the visa after you submit the addional documents.
