As For Cheney, he is one guy who is able to discredit some of Obamas BS, such as the waterboarding story of late.

As soon as Obama claimed -no useful info came from it- Cheney moved to declassify documents which proved mass terrorist attacks were thwarted on the West-coast, info attained directly from harsh interrogations of high level leaders.

I have no problem with Cheney continuing to go out on the talk show circuit. It's a free country, he can have his say. If anything, it reinforces the out-of-touch status of the GOP and helps the Democrats politically.

And, Cheney has not "moved to declassify documents". He cannot. He's no longer in office. What he has done, is he has requested that such documents be released by the Administration.

This past week an FBI case officer who personally interrogated al Quaida prisoners claims that not only did the techniques not work, but in fact they are counterproductive.

BTW- Graham here refers to Lindsay Graham (R ), not to Bob Graham (D).

I like Lindsay Graham, he is a decent man. I disagree with him on many issues but overall he's a guy I respect. However I'm a bit puzzled here - on one side he's saying the hearings shouldn't be held at all:

Graham called the hearing a "political stunt" and said Democrats were trying to judge officials who — soon after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks — "woke up one morning like most Americans and said, 'Oh, my God, what's coming next?'"

On the other hand, he wants to broaden them and add more testimony and evidence.

I rather prefer the former approach. The sooner this whole story is put to rest the better. We've got other issues to get to here people

Whether he has helped or hurt the Republican party is irrelevant. He has helped the country by speaking out. I give our president credit for reversing his policies. Cheney paid no small part in that reversal, and America is safer for it.

Ha, to be fair, maybe he should only shut up 57% of the time. I don't feel anymore damage can be done to the republican party, but certainly pulling for republicans in my state. Far more honest than the democrats and far more conservative.
