No, I have not stated whether I would or would not have an abortion. Not presuming to make the choice for another woman is the crux of this issue. You would based on your opinion that you have god's ear and you always know what's best for other people, regardless of their circumstances. I, quite simply, do not presume to have that ability.

You have pronounced that 'killing' is also acceptable, even condonable because it can be 'god's will' but again, that rather presumes that you have a hotline to god and you know that god's will is, even though and correct me if I am wrong because I know there are differences between Muslim's and Christians, but even though the good book explicitly states that only god should and can make those ultimate judgements.

I prefer the judgements of the jundp's of this world. She holds true to a concept under all circumstances, it does not vary simply because in some cirumstances it might be convenient to do so. You perhaps view that as wishy washy beacuse of course, you know what god thinks in all circumstances, when killing is not only ok, but glorious because it is god's will and when it is horrible and contemptable because god would not approve.

I am not fettered with having to worry about what god might or might not think but instead have to rely on ethics that are based on the principals of humanity, that is to say, presuming all have equal rights.

The act of Killing is neither good nor bad. It is however something that people do. Each time a person is killed there is a unique set of circumstances. Sometimes that killing can be seen to be mericful but largely the justification is based on who can produce the 'moral high ground' white rabit out of the hat at any given time. Elusive at best.

So, while you can happily presume to be in the camp of the good and the just, always knowing that your opinion is the opinion of god and therefore naturally right, I personally sit in the camp of the 'I'll do the best I can under any given set of circumstances. I'll attempt to base my decisions on all the available evidence and know that sometimes, maybe even often I am wrong.' However, I am quite content with that.
