there will be no e-mail... you will receive a letter via USPS... Once you have a case number you can sign up for e-mail notification...

YMMV

I mailed my I-129F to Vermont on April 28th (regular mail from Richmond. Virginia). The check cleared my acount on May 1, 2009. On May 7th I recieved NA01 letter with an NA01 date of May 1...

My omly suggestion as to 'What happens next" is, read these Forums - I have come conclusion based on VJ stats and, Igors List that NA02 should be approved in 4-5 months...Barring no problems !!!

Good Luck

APPROVED, NOTHING COMPLICATE!!!!! GOOD LUCK.

If you are really anxious like I was you can look at the check image from your bank after it is cashed and on the back of the check you will find your receipt number starting with EAC ------- then you can go on uscis.gov and sign up for online case status. There you can get the date they sent out the NOA 1 and also you can see if they "touch" your case.

Give it at least a week for them to cash it. I am guessing the'll cash it next week.

Best of luck.

When they cash your check, the case number will be found on the back. They will probably cash the check within 2 weeks. The number begins with EAC for Vermont. You can then go play with the online system which has been known to give proper information at times, though never in my case. This is not intended to be an endorsement of the online update system and I have not personally witnessed any accurate information being displayed there.

If you are in S. Korea, I think you will have provided a US mailing address? Yes? Your NOA1 letter will arrive at that address usually within 30 days of when they received it. You will not receive an email that your pakage has arrived in Vermont, you have delivery confirmation for that.

2 weeks to take your money? I don't think so. Ours was two days for that.

Same here - about 2 days. And you will not be geting your case number now - it will be your receipt number. The case number comes later after your case is sent to the NVC.
