Please read if you have submited DS-230 packet for THAILAND

Hi we sent the ds 230 packet to the nvc with a copy of her birth certificate that had been stamped and attached to translation by the ministry of foreign affairs.i was told by the nvc when i called to find out about progress that we had to send her original birth certificate.My question is does the og birth certificate have to have any special stamps on it like say one from minestry of foreign affairs or hospital or anything like that or is just a normal thai birth certificate fine ..Thanks in advance

I would assume normal Thai birth certificate. NVC is very specific on getting the originals from the beneficiary's country.

My copy is a duplicate of my original from the City Hall which they stamped (our City Hall has a special stamp for USA Services), then I brought it for translation and then I sent to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to get it certified! That's what we're sending and on a consultation with USCIS office clerk in the Boston office where my husband walked in (with appointment) they said it was fine.
