hello everyone,

we bought a house last year.Because my husband didn't have much credit history, the house had to be financed under my name alone. we live in Florida, and my husband had to sign and be present the clossing day. I am looking thru the clossing paper work that the title company had given us. All I am finding are blink forms  . Have you had this situation? what forms do I need to send ? thank you so much

I copied 3 pages of the deeds we signed at the settlement. If you get the blank form, call your settlement company and ask them to mail it to you.

In MD at the closing you get copies of the blank forms and then sign the deed and title etc. The deed and title need to be filed with the local authorities (whoever that is) and then they send you the original in the mail. It was about 6 months before we got ours and I had all but forgotten about it when it arrived in the mail. I would call your agent if you never received anything because it's a very important document to have. And I don't mean just for filing.
