Matt is working on getting the things he will need for his interview. (God willing we actually do get approved someday) He can across the instructions hat he needs photos to get his police record and they have to be signed by an official that has known him for at least 2 years. He doesn't know any people like that. Is he reading it wrong? What did you guys do?

On the new for DS-156, what did you all put for the place your passport was issued from?

Another quick question...

The Embassy website states the principal applicant only completes for DS 156K, and anyone travelling with them needs to do DS-156, 157. Does this mean he ONLY fills out 156K and does not need the others or is it just clarifying that the others don't need to do a 156k?

The list of acceptable professionals extends to managers. Have his boss do it (that's what I did).

Doctors will charge you (about £40 around here) but they can sign it.

I put London.

John's GP signed it for free, so maybe call and find out in advance. And for the second part, London.

Thanks for your replies. :)

He was made redundant in February so he does not know if he can get his employer to do it. As far as the GP, he says he has never seen his GP that he was assigned to, so they don't know him. Ya he's one of those people that never go to the doctor unless they are dying. Does it have to be an official of some sort?

I know it sounds odd but has he tried asking his neighbours that are in one of the professions listed on the forms? (if he's lived there for 2 years etc), I had my neighbour that works for part of the police that deals with background checks and he signed mine for me even though we didn't speak regularly. He still said it's acceptable as he'd see me out and about etc.
