Update: I just bought an 18" ####### that is 5" wide that I will carry when I go out at night. Go ahead, ** with me. You'll be wishing I had a gun instead.

And if someone takes it away from you and gives you a free education with it...then you'll be wishing you had a gun instead. :(

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995

I can just picture Clint Eastwood holding this monster in his hand, looking down at the thug he has just run down, saying, "Considering this is an 18" double donger, the largest ####### in the world that will rip your a$$hole clean apart, you have to ask yourself a question." Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk"

I don't know anyone who does carry a weapon when out hiking in the wilderness, wild animals or not, and I belong to a very large and extremely active hiking club. There are things you can do to ensure safety of course and mostly not hiking alone is the best recommendation.

that could explain why cali has attacks on joggers/hikers by mountain lions too.

I was in the City with my wife to get an Indian visa recently, decided to go into a designated 'public' urban open space to wait. Comfortable enough, but about a third of the people in there were mentally not right. We didn't spend too much time in there.

it was a dnc rally point.

I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.

About which subject? Guns or mental health?

I don't know a lot about guns, that's true.

I work in the mental health field. Do you have experience in that field?

Now remember, don't answer the question based upon the time you've spent in the home.

i know a little about the subject.

i tutored my second wife thru her PSYD. she already had LCSWC. she was a trust fund baby with more money than brains that was a full time student till the age of 33. i did her "extended peer counseling" for years after she went into practice. she just didn't have the ego strength to last until friday...

she also went mildly paranoid during the time i knew her (30-37), which should be no surprise, as she had 2 first degree relatives (father/brother) that were hospitalised psychotics diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. her chances were snowball in hell, but her education masked the symptoms to all but intimate relationship and experienced professional peers, and made her onset appear to be a little bit late.

to this day she lives alone. i keep an eye on her from a distance out of concern, but don't involve myself directly. her paranoia isn't bad enough to require anything more than paxil, which she chose because it's not really a drug for an axis 1 paranoia, rather usually advised for an axis 3 situational anxiety.

then there was the first wife: a textbook study in BPD. by the age of 25 clanging on 7 of the 8 diagnostic criteria, with sexual issues the strongest manifestation. a classic childhood opposite sex multiple abandonment and trust object betrayal case, so what more could i have expected? this stuff i only truely understood after 3rd child, but we were young and restless and bored...ain't it funny how the night moves, when you just don't seem to have as much to loose?

she is stable 12 years after hitting the wall, and is getting married to a district justice next month. i'm very happy for her, and she is very nice to me. she went through some major learning experiences, and i pulled her up from the floor enough that she owes me. did it for the kids. would have been hard to explain their mother in a casket.

then there was the year i spent working with developmentally disabled adult men. guys in the 30-50 bracket, both in age and IQ. that was a job that required more than compassion. it was a bottomless pit i wish upon no man. there is no redemption for such lost souls.

So what's wrong with the current wife, one wonders. After all, you seem to attract freaks. But then again, given your penchant for prancing around in wanton gaiety in the Chinese countryside with your hand firmly attached to the hand of another men, one is hardly surprised.

Yeah I read that and bit my tongue. Its always easy to blame the other person for failed relationships.

"She's mad" is the excuse they used to use in the 19th century!

I always thought that was funny about Jane Eyre - that when it was revealed that Mr Rochester's first wife was a crazy woman living in the attic, the concern wasn't on the poor woman he'd locked up there away from any human contact or treatment, but how embarrassing it must have been for him that he had to deal with that.

Did Shooter just admit to practicing psychiatry without proper qualitications or is extended peer counseling just chatting informally? Got to wonder where all this will lead...

I am not sure it's a good idea to discuss ex wives' mental disturbances on a public message board - seems somehow wrong.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

The characters are fictional, much like the character the narrator has invented for himself.

we can discuss your mental imbalance, instead, if you'd like.

i was asked about my experience with mental health issues, and answered that my experience is a mix of theoretical and practical, in 3 common fields of affliction. i am also analytical about the experience, rather than emotional. therefore the weight of my opinion.

talking about our experiences from behind the curtain of anonymity is what message boards are all about. writing about the experience is cathartic, and reading about another's experience can be enlightening. if you are not comfortable enough with yourself to let the truth be known, then get out of the kitchen. but then, we already knew that.

as for the current wife, she is a bit immature, but that's age appropriate. she has no family history of mental health problems, and no significant childhood trauma. we discussed these subjects before i agreed to marry. any thinking, educated man would.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
