I-864 Afiidavit fee ????? where/how to send

Hi ,

I'm finishing my AOS ( I-485) package today and just find out for the 70$ fees for the affidavit if you are not abroad !

they said to send it to the department of state ; so can we enclose this check with the package and send it to chicago or should we send it somewhere else , or maybe make a online transfert and joint the statement with the package ?

how are you applying for adjustment of status to register as a permanent resident if you are not resident?

I came here to make my papers for an university here that I should have enter in september this year , but with my boyfriend we just decide to get married so I actually make a adjustment of status from from a tourist visas !

I'm sending my I-485 , I-864, I-765 and my I-130 petition together to the USCIS...

that's why I don't know if the 70$ fee for the I-864 are applicable in my case I don't care of 70$ I just want to make the package correctly !

the USCIS does NOT charge an I-864 fee

You have to pay the $70 first before you send other documents. Read the instructions on www.uscis.gov to where and how to pay the $70. Go to Immigration forms and look for I-864.

NO Not when adjusting from inside the USA. The $70 fee is only when dealing with a CR/IR visa with NVC
