hello. im not sure this is the right place to post this, but i'll try anyway. let me know if this is address somewhere else.

me and my girlfriend are considering getting married. i'm a citizen and my gf had a work visa, which was then converted to a student visa. she had her visa several months while we were dating until she couldnt afford to pay the monthly fees to go to school. at that point her visa expired.

my concern is when we get married by going to the county clerk office and getting a marriage certificate, while she be able to apply for a green card so she can finally be able to go home and visit her mom for the first time in years.

and if she's able to apply for her green card, what will i have to do to help her. please let me know as all help will be greatly appreciated.
