passport renewal issue

Hi Everyone,

I renewed my daughters passport, even though I checked the box**return old passport** they didn't send it with her new one.

Is this going to be a problem? and any ideas how to possibly rectify this? I assume they destroy the old passports..

any help is much appreciated

03/25/08 RFE recieved for NOA for I129F(USCIS lost it! DOH!)

Contact them asap - or contact your former MPs office and have them check for you - and see if they have or haven't destroyed it yet. Hopefully it is still available.

Do you need your old passport for some reason? What are you supposed to do with it once it's expired and you have a new one?

I was under the impression that because her original K-1 visa is there..that some how its important..I hope not because I don't know what I'm going to do if they have destroyed it

Once the K visa has expired, there's no real purpose to keep it other than for sentimental value.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

phew..you made me feel alot better..so no need to try and get ahold of someone at the passport office?( you KNOW how easy and fun THAT would be..haha)

How long ago did you/she got the new passport?

When I renewed my passport, my old passport arrived separately about 10 days later (even though I didn't even request that the old one be sent back to me).

If you just recently got the new pass, you may get the old one soon as well ;)
