Has anyone traveled to Niagara Falls while they're AOS is being processed? Is the process difficult? My Wife arrived on the K1 Visa and we have applied for AOS and Advance Parole for Travel but wanted to visit Niagara Falls this summer after the Advance Parole comes. Are we able to obtain a Visitor Visa to Canada while waiting for our AOS?

Thank You

Forget Canada for now. Wait till she has her greencard - til then you can only go to the US side (Buffalo). You could try to get a visitor's visa to Canada (for the Indian passport) but it might be too much trouble. Just wait for the greencard and then you can visit Niagra Falls. Till then go visit - The Grand Canyons; Any of the hundreds of national parks in Utah (Bryce, Monument Valley and Arches are my favorite); Or any of the fantastic places in California - Yosemite, Big Sur etc. Or almost any state parks or national parks in your state - you will be surprised at the number of outstanding areas just a stone's throw away. Have Fun

As far as I know, when the AP comes the spouse is free to travel, as long as all documents are carried. ( AP, marriage cert. etc) If you're unsure whether or not to do that, wait until the GC comes. By the looks of time lines that I've seen, it's really not that long after the AP arrives.

If you do want to go to Niagara Falls, (as I do as well ) you can go to the US side, and there are boats that can take you from the State side, around to the Horseshoe side of the falls, ( the Canadian side) and back to the States. I'm going to check it out, but I'm sure that wouldn't constitute as "crossing the border"...lol. I'd love to go to the falls too!! But then...I just wanna go anywhere!!
