I don't understand why Microsoft is touting that as a bad thing. It seems to me Americans would be better off if they knew a little bit more about everything as most seem pretty clueless. Just another case of the dumbing down of America.

I'm saving up for the Google Implant.

"What exactly would be the plusses and minuses of being able to google information instantaneously in your head, without anybody knowing you're doing it?"

Do you really believe this would be possible "without anybody knowing...". I don't, they would install something with cookies and some type of reporting software so they could monitor all you thoughts, thereby soon controlling all your thoughts and thereby controlling all your actions.

Like most things, PC has its pluses and minuses. Unfortunately there are people out there who need rules of political correctness. They just don't understand that telling a woman he works with has nice tits is inappropriate. People like that need structure, and yeah, it ruins it for the rest of us who know better. On the other end of the spectrum there are people who have gone totally overboard on the PC wagon. These are the idiots who gasp and ask why you hate our African American brethren when you say something like you feel all this money you're sending to USCIS is disappearing down a "black hole."

Seems to me thought that PC is on a down-cycle. Anyone who was in the workplace during the mid to late '90's knows how bad it was. It doesn't seem quite so bad as it once was. But I expect it's cyclical, and who knows, maybe we're heading back on an upswing. I haven't really seen it yet though. My Postally Acquired Signifigant Other agrees.

It's stuff like this that's killing our country right now.

"I have GPS." I don't know how many times I've heard this one about a half hour before I get the call, "Dude, I'm lost, ah, could you guide me in?" Dependency on something, anything other than one's self or knowledge is going to come back and bite that same dependent person in the @$$ when the batteries die.

How many people do you know who have absolutely no idea how to change their car's tire becuase they have AAA? (And let me make it clear, I'm not talking about someone who has a nice car, nice job, can afford AAA and KNOWS HOW TO DO IT THEMSELVES, I'm talking that person who's mom made their bed for them every day and picked up their socks and washed them and now that they're all grown up, they "have AAA" so they don't need to know how to do it.)

Men,

- you should know how to change a car tire.

- you should know how to build a fire, shelter, capture food, cook, clean, AND USE A FREAKIN MAP!!!!!!!!

- you should own a rifle and be proficient in it's use.

- you should be able to survive any given scenario, especially in daily life, without using your cell phone!

I don't even care if you can't use a map, at least have a general sense of direction. For crying out loud, you have more iron in your nose for a reason. USE IT!

- you should be able to tell me which way is north (and subsequently the other directions as well, smarty) day or night, without looking at a compass or your GPS unit.

- at the very minimum..... if you drive somewhere, yourself, like you're the one driving..... DON'T GET LOST ON THE WAY BACK!

Sorry for all the caps, since we're being PC and all.

That's inappropriate?

Absolutely. It's rude and humiliating. The proper compliment is "stunning tits." Otherwise it's like, "what? They're just nice?!"

I thought you just supposed to run up to them and stick you face in them and make motor boat sounds.

That's how we do it in the midwest. California has all that PC #######.

Right. We're not allowed to make motor boat sounds, it interferes with whale migration patterns.
