question about 864 vs. 864A

if my husband just became citizen and filing IR5 for his parents from overseas, when the time comes to fill out 864 - if his income is not enough and i have to joint sponsor:

- do i fill out i-864 or i-864A?

i know he has to fill out i-864 but i read somewhere i-864A is for member from same household which would be me. but i have also read that joint sponsors also fill out i-864? do i need to fill out both? i am confused

if you live in the same house then he does the I-864 and you do the I-864A

Hi!

I-864 = petitioner and/or another sponsor NOT living in the same household as the petitioner

I-864-A = joint sponsor who lives in the SAME household as the petitioner.
