Is the base made from-scratch or are substitutes (pita, tortilla, frozen bread-dough) acceptable?

garlic-naan (garlic-pita) base certainly sounds excellent (though I don't have the same toppings taste as Nessa--so I'll sub carrots, gonkura, fenugreek and cauliflower for the palm-hearts, tuna and black olives)

nessa that sounds tasty!

no black olives though...something about olives heated is weird to me

i love hearts ofg palms in pizza, and yeah, i could pass on the olives, but cheese and onions u have to put a whole bunch.

The only thing good about olives is their oil--not the fruit which produces it.

If you are ever in the Northside of Chicago... Giordano's has the best stuffed crust pizza ever!! I used to be a thin crust girl, but I have seen the err of my ways... :dance:

The first time I ever had stuffed crust pizza was from Pizza Hut in Alexandria Egypt. I had no clue about it before then but it was delicious!

If wanting thin crust, Dominoes one-topping. I like either cheddar cheese, onions, or steak.

If wanting deep dish, Pizza Hut with lots of veggies.

I see no purpose to hand-tossed pizza.

If wanting dessert, Papa John's. Go with the cheapest pizza (or wings) you can find, so you can qualify for delivery of the chocolate pastry delights.

Cheese stuffed crust, with either ham and pineapple or pepperoni.....ususally from pizza hut in the states

but we get domions meatza over here.

i also like a lot of local owned places where im from in upstate ny. my husbands family--funny they are lebanese--own an italian place in my town.

June 11 05-Married George, civil ceremony in New York

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Well out here reg crust at local place, mushroom, onions and tomatoes.

In Brasil, brick oven thin crust, and any of the combos:

- boiled egg, onion, calabresa, ham, olives (portuguese style topping as we call it out there);

- chicken and catupiry (brazilian soft cheese);

- sun dried tomatoes and fresh basil.

Those are my favorite toppings.
