Went to check on my I129F today, which has not been in the online system at all, and the person whom I was transferred to told me it was approved last week. Maybe putting in a service request last week for my I130 actually did something. Will call USCIS tomorrow and see if my I130 was approved also, however, the online system for that still shows Oct. 20th, 08.

I have not recieved any hardcopy NOA2 for my I129F, no E-MAIL, and the online system still has no record. Though the man on the phone told me it was approved.

Is there a way to tell if anything has been transfered to NVC without recieving a notice? Is the EAC# still the same or does the petition get a new number. Maybe jumping the gun as I may recieve something in the mail tomorrow but I would like to know for sure that what he told me was correct. There is always this likttle negativity in the back of my mind that he may have punched in the wrong number. though he repeated it to me and also took my name and address before telling me.

thanks,

Wayne

if they said it's approved, it probably was. hooray! my case never updated online and even the VSC operators couldn't see it had been approved- i didn't know til i got the NOA2s.

try calling NVC (603)334-0700 follow the prompts to enter your USCIS case number. unfortunately the I-129fs do not get entered into the automated system- you'll have to speak to an operator to find that out. but odds are your I-130 was approved at the same time and that should be in the system so try using that case number instead. you'll hear a message saying "your case was entered into the NVC computer on..." and that's the date it got to NVC.

if it says they have no record of your case then it's not there yet :(

Called USCIS today to check on my I130. Of course the lady was telling me the same as I can see on the site. Oct.20 08 bla, bla, bla. Then she said that since I put in a service request last week I shouldn't call for another 45 days, bla, bla, bla. I asked to be transfered to someone else with more info and she did.

When transfered they told me my I130 was  APPROVED  last week as well, on the 8th. I believe it now. Just waiting for my hardcopy in the mail. I guess next week I start calling the NVC. Though we might just go the K3 route since both were approved the same day we might be able to shed a couple of month's.

It's official. Both hardcopies in the mail today. Someone at Vermont finally woke up.

Service request sent in 5/5/09, aproval on 5/8/09 HMMMMMMMM!!! coincidence perhaps! Or did it help?

Start bugging NVC next week though the copy says don't call for 90 days.
