The dealer don't actually have enough money to buy out every single car. Chrysler placed the cars on their lot trusting the dealership to hold it as their inventory (but the car are still owned by Chrysler).

The article said that Chrysler isn't buying the cars back from the dealers.

That means....

This really puts the dealers in a terrible position. Only 3 weeks notice seems so unfair. When they got rid of Oldsmobile and Plymouth, there was a lengthy notice, plus the dealers were compensated for losing the franchise. Now it's see you later, don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out. And you're stuck with the product that doesn't sell. Nice. Too bad they didn't do the same thing to Wall Street and the banks.

Wall Street's tentacles are intertwined with the innards of Main Street in a war Chrysler just isn't.

Understood. It just behooves me that an industry that has been a part of this country for over 100 years is on it's way out.

It doesn't behoove you that an industry that has been part of this country for over 100 years is on it's way out. It may piss you off, disappoint you, agitate you, frustrate you... but it does not behoove you.

He sold it to his terrorist buddies and now they're shutting down dealerships and taking away american jobs. Just another form of terrorism.
