My husband resides in Jamaica and is self-employed. The G-325a form requests the name and address of his employer. Would it be a problem if he writes "none" or should he write self-employed.

We are confused. Need advice.

Thanks

I would suggest you put "self-employed" and perhaps the type of business your husband is in. Just be sure to be consistent on all of your forms throughout the process. Good luck!

Calmar; put SELF-EMPLOYED and if his business is based out of his home, use that address.

He should write self-employed and include the address of this business.

Thank you. He does catering for events, parties, funerals, etc. and does most of the cooking at his home.

My husband was also self-employed, at least part of the time. I put self-employed, the address of where he worked, his job title, and the dates. And it was approved.

Hey Calmar, you should check out the Yardie thread....there's lots of ppl there that can help that has been thru this step!

Definitely put self employed, the address, and if so, name of the business in brackets. For example: Self Employed (Bob's Catering) something like that! :) Also, make sure he has filed all of his taxes, and done everything properly financially so that there are no questions when the papers are submitted. Good luck in the rest of the process! :)
