Why is she a #######?

Maybe I am thinking of the wrong definition...( brought up in England-but American), to me,a ####### is someone who sleeps around...no self respect--sloppy--lazy--dirty--etc etc etc...do I have the right definition here?

I am NOT a fan of Brittany Spears' music, but I wouldn't call her a #######. I don't know her to give her that kind of label.

Or perhaps I have the wrong idea of what a ####### is.....

PS I detest Kevin Federline, though! Or I should say I detest how he dumped his ex-girlfriend while she was pregnant!

Yeah, "#######" is kinda harsh...but a ####### she is nonetheless. We've basically seen everything on her but her nipples and #######. Wonder when she'll show those off. Probably in another year or so when she's even less popular and not selling any records.

KEVIN is the LOSER/TRASH of that couple!

Think about it-SHE is the only one "working".

What is HE doing? And yeah, Britany may be alot of things, but in my opinion her BIGGEST error was marrying that loser.

Guilty of bad judgement? Yes. ( and who isn't guilty of that to some extent)?

Unfortunatly in our consumer driven economy, sex and the fantasy of perfection sells! It sells very well too!

That's the real problem as it creates a standard ( albeit an false one) that NO ONE can live up to!

It's a picture in a magazine. That's it. Nothing more. That's why I try to refrain from "knocking" her. It's a facade. A "job" for her.. Feeding an industry that pays very well. So if we don't like what she does ( pregnant photo)-the only people to blame are the ones BUYING this. If there was no market for it-it would not happen.

Agreed-So what was the point of posting it in the first place? It just disseminated the image to 1000's more people that maybe would not have normally seen it- in addition to the people that buy Harpers regularly.

Dude, have you ever heard of "wanting attention"? That's exactly what this whole thing's about - the interview, the slutty magazine cover, etc. She's not doing it because it's her job, she's doing it because she wants the damn attention. Celebrites worship the almighty dollar as well as the adoration of the public. They want publicity. Is that very noble? Why should I stop saying negative things about what she's doing when she's only doing it to feed her ego?

Perhaps, but I'm not so sure its fair to single her out and blame her for this - part of the problem is the massive demand for celebrity 'fluff' news. There are whole TV channels devoted to the stuff, and magazines fly off the racks in supermarkets. Its a whole business unto itself - consumer culture is largely to blame as I see it.

I wasn't directing the "who cares? move on" comment to you. It's for everyone who seems disturbed by it. What's the saying...there is no such thing as negative publicity. So people in the media will yammer about how it's not right, blah, blah, blah, and more people will go out and buy it... Britney doesn't care who buys it, neither does Harper's Bazaar...it's just another sale, regardless if someone is truly interested or just buying because they are nosey...lol as far as a message board, eh...I suppose people just want to sound off. *shrug*

Frances, I understand what you're saying. But for the sake of little girls everywhere, I really really loathe what she's doing. Same with all celebrities who go around parading their half naked bodies to the public in order to make some money.
