We have a calico cat named Jaws. My son was in the third grade when she strayed into our lives. He named her that because of the ravenous way she ate.

Cats: Moon, Toby, Emily, Henry, Tori (means mustard in Nepali), Kale (pron Kalay, means black in Nepali)

Past pet names:

Hannibal, Katrina, Ben, Gretchen, Katie, Casey, Tiger, Road Warrior (this cat was TOUGH), Max, Shooter, India, Strider

Dogs:

Tie, Lyric, Shep, Tess, Buster (aka Boo-boo), Pete

Lucille, Rosie, Jojo, Spike, Clovis, Nicholas

You must also understand that each one of these animals had at least one other nickname, sometimes two or three, and then there were their own names for themselves that we didn't know...

Probably my most odd pet names were two dogs that I had. A german shepherd/chow cross named Clive Barker and a dalmatian named Matisse. Oh, and I once had a cat named Brazen. I loved that cat.
