I'm working on form G-325A for myself (Petitioner) and I’m not sure if I should write something in “Applicant’s Last address outside the United States of more than a year” I became a naturalized citizen like 17years ago. And previous to that I lived in my native country, do I have to put an address from way back then from my native country….??

Thanks for your help

Yes. :yes:

I grew up in Germany and listed my last (only) address there under this field on the G-325A and it was more than 17 years ago.. (am not saying how much more though)..

The G-325 asks for your last 5 years employment and address but it also a "biographical" form. Yes. Answer the question.

I guess I am sometimes confused why these kinds of things get asked. It is a daily, many time a day, thing. Is there a movemnet afoot to save ink by not answering a question? I mean it seems to me about 3 seconds time and 4 mg of ink rather than the process of going on VJ and asking questions, waiting for replies (which I cannot tell you your own previous address)

I mean if I said "NO, you do not have to answer that question" do you come back to the forums and say "WOW! THAT's a relief! Thank goodness I do not have to write my last address outside the the USA. Pheewwwwwwwww! That was close"

The question is pretty plain. Write the answser.

And the good thing is...if I am wrong, it doesn't matter. They won't send an RFE for answering, but they MIGHT if you don't. Save 3 seconds and 4mg ink and risk an RFE?

True, but I also found the question a bit weird and wondered what they meant and why they asked it. I've been back in Berlin for more than a year, but have lived at two different addresses for less than a year each. Therefore, to answer the question I had to give them my address in Bavaria from more than three years ago, before my previous US stay, because it was the last address outside the US at which I had lived for more than a year, even though the total time I spent in Bavaria was less than that spent in Berlin. I still don't understand why that address would be of particular interest to them.

I guess this question is really conceived for US residents, for whom living outside the US is the exception rather than the rule, and what they want to know is where someone has spent considerable time abroad.

Great...now I realize I made a mistake on my G325A...I immigrated to the USA 10 years ago from Hong Kong and became a US citizen last year. Somehow it didn't occur to me when filling out the form that the question is referring to all my past addresses, instead of just the past 5 years. And of course, because of that, I totally forgot to put down my Hong Kong address before immigration and wrote "none" on the G325A form...what should I do now?

Sigh...

I wouldn't worry about it, it asks for employment in the last 5 years, so you should be good.

@Gary - :lol:

And yes, the question is there, last address outside of US, it doesn't say last address in past 5 years, it doesn't last address after your turned 18/21, it doesn't say last address if you naturalized. It's a simple question of "none" if you never lived outside the US or "xxxxx st, #xx" if you did.

The benefitiary also has to fill in that form, right? So, I am the benefitiary in my application and I have been living, outside the USA, at the same address for more than 5 years now. What do I write on "Applicant's last address outside the US of more than 1 year"? Should I leave it blank? Thanks!

Repeat your address there or write, 'Same as above'
