Is this true, when I was getting my canadian police check the officer told me that if you are going to california, at the interview they will do finger print based search on you because California is very strict. Is she right? When I got the interview letter, they have accpeted the canadian police record.

He dun made that up.

she made just a big deal, there is this big black cardboard they will do a finger print test lol it's hard to trust ppl these days lots of misinformation

canadian police record does a thorough check. the RCMP check is what you need to be more specific about.

Immigration is a federal responsibility, not a State responsibility- California isn't going to be involved. You'll be fine.

Perhaps he was getting confused about going for a driver's license? Many States do take fingerprints for Driver's Licenses now; I know Georgia does, maybe California does too.

I have never heard of such a thing, perhaps he was pulling your leg. I had a couple of last names to check and he gave me a jokingly hard time as in "are there any other names I have to check?"

We just so happen to be at the DMV right now and nubby says they do take finger prints now so you are right about that :) I only had to do those elctronic biometric scan thingys like at the airport at my interview.
