Am filling the k-1 visa and am so confused on alot of things and i have some questions if anyone can help me please.

1. I want to know if it is very important to make copies of everything sent to USCIS when i sent my packet to them, i didnt make any copies of all the forms sent. Is this going to be a problem or i shouldnt worry about it??

2. I want to know what is going to happen when i receive NOA2 ?? is a letter going to be sent to my fiancee from the NVC or i need to contact them to make an appointment for the interview??

3. I also read something about my fiancee picking up a package at the embassy, what is that about??

Thanks

1. the purpose of making a copy is so that If uscis looses your file, you don't have to start over, and also for your fiancee to understand what is going on.

2. after NOA 2, USCIS will send your file to NVC and NVC will send your file to the consulate oversea, then the consulate will send your fiancee the forms that is needed during interview.

3. consulate specific question, can't help you here, sorry

You(the petitioner) will receive notice from NVC in the mail. I called them before I got it in the mail and got our case number so I can track the petition to the embassy. It is suggested that your fiancee pick up the packets at the embassy as it it quicker this way. Your interview date will be included in the packets. My SO went pick up the packets 1 1/2 weeks after the petition was delivered there.

Never send anything to anyone with the government without a copy for yourself. Always send anything to them certified mail or some other tye of delivery confirmation service (UPS FedEx) Hopefully all will go correct and you will get lucky

Your third question could be in reference to a couple things.

One is the Packet 4 for the actual visa application. This is handled somewhat differently depending on the embassy/consulate.

The other possibility is the POE package your fiancee gets if the K1 is approved by the embassy/consulate. In addition to the visa itself, the embassy gives the visa applicant their entire application package in a sealed envelope. This package is turned in to the officer at the point of entry.
