Just wondering if anyone here has had the K-1 visa interview experience in Chennai. My Fiance will have her interview there soon.

Any thoughts? Specific questions or documents they focus on?

I am no longer an active member of visa journey.......but I was for a very long time a few years back. I had a fiance from India. I was a few years older than he was (not much). My ex-fiance was treated worse than an animal at Chennai consulate.

We had known each other over four years.. so it was not a fraudulent situation. He was blackmailed (yes blackmailed) and threatened that if he didnt admit fraud then they were going to inform his family of his plans. Now we both were adults...and we had been honest with the consulate from day one in saying that he had not informed his family and that he planned to do so after he came to U S ....They were rude to him. They made fun of him and me... No matter what he said to them they had only one reply..."Sir, we do not belive you". They grilled him for hours and tried ever thing they could to get him to admit fraud , becaude they didnt have one shred of evidence to show otherwise.....and In the end they sent our petition back to the U S with the request to deny.

They even kept one picture of us.........and said they were going to show it to everyone in his family and village...

I just read some of the reviews from the link the previous poster sent, and you can easily see that if they prejudge your case.....then they will be rude and crueland you will not stand a chance.

If you and your fiance are what they judge to be a correct match then maybe you will breeze thru. But God help you if you dont fit what they think should be a couple.

And as for me and my fiance we fit them for nearly two years and finally I gave up.... He begged me to come to India, marry him and live there. I couldnt leave my family here so I let him go . It was the hardest t hing I have ever done in my life........
