So personal anecdotal evidence carries more weight than evidence from research? Or, are you saying that you have research evidence that contradicts the evidence presented in this article and that this is backed up by personal experience?

It depends... this is one study of many & without doing research I'll make an educated guess and assume that most studies put the divorce rate around 50%. In essence my gut feeling (based on the factors I've listed) is that 50% is within the ballpark of reality.
