  1. 1. For Those Who Are Not Black, What is the Likelihood of you Getting Your Haircut in Barber Shop that is Owned and Operated By Blacks?

    • It makes no difference to me.

    • I'd prefer another Barber Shop but would go there if there wasn't any other barber shop.

    • I'd just wait and go somewhere else.

i'm not racist answers the question.

It does and it doesn't. You might not be racist, but the environment in the shop might be. Of course if might not be, but if it was, and you were treated like a piece of ####### based purely on the fact that you were not of the African American persausion, one would assume you wouldn't be going back in a hurry, right?

the question wasn't ''if you went to a barber shop where the environment was not good and u were treated like a piece of ####### because u were not black, would u go back" the answer for that would be no.

This might sound silly but I'd actually find it fun to get my hair done in a place where I don't fit in at all! Something about an old barber shop sounds fun, if the men are nice and tell you those "back in the day" stories. Fun to me! (As long as they are doing a good job of course)

The hair texture between the whites and blacks are very very different. My husband, who is black, would not feel comfortable with a white person cutting/ trimming is hair because he likes to have it edged and to be honest...black barbers are a lot more experienced in doing that. I am white and I have gone to a black hair salon and had my hair put in a french twist, but it did not come out right because it had alot of black hair care products in it (oil sheen, hair gel) and it made my hair look real greasy. I think that if you want to the best results, you have to make sure that you are dealing with some one who caters to all hair types.

If you are white and go to the hood to get your haircut, then I honestly believe that it would be very uncomfortable because of course it is something that you had never experienced. I think that best option would be to go somewhere where you will feel comfortable.

To Blessed to be stressed:) I realize that all things have a purpose and a time.....have faith and the Lord Almighty will provide... when the time is right, he NEVER fails!

I understand this because my sister is mixed and her hair is crazy :).

I voted for my husband who I'm sure would like getting his hair cut by black barbers.
